Blender 3.3: Procedural Pipe/Cable/Bridge Generator - Geometry Nodes Group

This Geometry Nodes group allows you to procedurally generate a highly customizable array of pipes, cables, or custom bridges on or between the surface(s) of any object. In addition to configurable pipe and cable mesh generation using built-in functions, this node group enables the use of custom meshes in place of pipes and stems, as well as for start & end caps and flanges. Using as little as a single input, you can add procedural swaying animation to generated cables. Texture coordinates are also generated for pipes, cables, and stems, so you can use UV data in materials specific to each type of geometry.

Features:

Procedurally generate pipes, cables, and/or bridges on the surface of any object

Control randomness, positions, and dimensions of generated geometry

Generate UVs for procedural pipes, cables and stems, each of which can have their own material

Use custom meshes in place of procedural pipes and stems, as well as for start & end caps and flanges

Easily add swaying animation to generated cables

Limitations:

At lower densities, some unconnected stems may be generated.

Generating both cables and pipes simultaneously may cause stems to connect to both cables and pipes, meaning stem material may not match completely at higher densities.

Pipe joints are only generated on stems.

Flanges are generated on all stems regardless of type, but can be globally disabled.

The newest version has been significantly upgraded, but older versions are still available if you only need the basic functionality of the node group. Check the previous documentation to see which features are available in the lite version.
